Project Manager
Position Summary:
The Project Manager will be based in UB office and will be accountable for the safe, profitable, and efficient execution of all activities of company a turnkey EPC contract for the Phase 2 Expansion at the ATO Gold Mine project, including supporting construction and future development phases. Project Manager will provide overall leadership, project day to day project operations, and operating oversight for the Project Team.
The Project Manager will be accountable to ensure that Project governance is followed, all safety practices and procedures are followed and supported. The Project Manager will deal directly with the Project Team, the Client's representatives as well as subcontractors teams.
Key Accountabilities:
· Successfully manage the assigned project so that all project goals are met in accordance with established budgets and schedules as expected.
· Identify critical path issues and ensure plans are in place to meet key dates and deliverables.
· Pursue and drive a culture of zero harm at the project site with an uncompromising commitment to health, safety and the environment.
· Drive a quality culture and ensure that the works are completed in line within the established quality framework.
· Support the Project Team to ensure they have the resources to meet their milestones and overcome any obstacles impacting their success.
· Responsible for managing staff including monitoring performance, coaching and providing performance feedback, conducting performance appraisals, and initiating disciplinary action if required (including maintaining supporting notes/documentation as required).
· Other related duties may be assigned.
Requirements:
· Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline.
· Project Management experience with construction and operational experience.
· 8+ years of experience working in the mining or mine contracting industry, with a preference for EPC contract projects.
· Minimum of 5+ years' experience in a senior-level project management role with a history of successful completion.
· PMP certification or working toward certification is an asset.
· Experience working with international teams
· Proven leadership and relationship management skills and experience.
· Ability to understand and motivate teams across functions, disciplines and offices to work collaboratively and efficiently.
· Strong oral and written communication skills and negotiation skills.
· Proficiency in English as required for the role.
· Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
