Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Development

    • Design and analyze mechanical systems, equipment, and components for mining/industrial operations.

    • Develop technical specifications, drawings, and calculations.

  • Maintenance & Reliability

    • Conduct inspections, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical issues.

    • Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.

  • Process Improvement

    • Analyze production processes and recommend improvements to efficiency, cost reduction, and safety.

    • Apply lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.

  • Project Management

    • Lead and support mechanical engineering projects, from feasibility study to commissioning.

    • Prepare project documentation, reports, and schedules.

  • Safety & Compliance

    • Ensure mechanical systems comply with international engineering standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.

  • Collaboration

    • Work with cross-functional teams (electrical, civil, mining engineers) to integrate mechanical solutions into broader industrial projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • 3-5 years of experience in industrial or mining mechanical engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design, thermodynamics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and material science.

  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.).

  • Familiarity with reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and condition monitoring tools.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Project management and organizational abilities.

  • Knowledge of industry standards (ASME, ISO, API, etc.).

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
