  • Partner with operational and corporate functions (Subsurface & G&G, Project Engineering, Supply Chain, HSSE & Asset Integrity, IT) to identify and translate business needs into practical digital solutions.
  • Screen, evaluate, and shortlist digital, Artificial Intelligence, and software solutions that support operational efficiency, safety, and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Engage with digital technology vendors to conduct workshops, solution assessments, demonstrations, and support commercial and technical evaluations.
  • Oversee the implementation, testing, and user acceptance of digital solutions developed by Headquarters or third‑party providers and recommend enhancements where required.
  • Assess existing digital applications and determine opportunities for upgrade, replacement, or optimization across the Business Unit.
  • Review and validate the technical architecture of proposed digital solutions, including integration design, data flows, cloud deployment, and security posture.
  • Act as a key technical interface with the IT team to assess solution feasibility, infrastructure requirements, and cybersecurity compliance prior to procurement.
  • Maintain architecture decision records and solution documentation to ensure continuity of knowledge beyond vendor engagements.
  • Prepare annual digital action plans, milestones, and progress reports for senior management, including the VP Business and Strategy and Country leadership.
  • Support procurement processes for digital initiatives, including scope definition, technical evaluation, and vendor negotiations.
  • Promote a culture of digital innovation and continuous improvement across operational departments.

Qualifications include but are not limited to the following:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, or related), Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • Master's degree (MBA or MSc with strong IT or Digital Transformation focus) is highly desirable.

Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in digital transformation, technology implementation, or digital/IT strategy roles.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating, selecting, and deploying enterprise digital solutions (e.g. data platforms, AI/ML tools, cloud applications, IoT).
  • Experience working with cross‑functional operational teams; exposure to upstream oil & gas operations is an advantage.
  • Proven experience engaging with technology vendors and supporting digital solution procurement.

Skills:

  • Strong digital strategy execution, project coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to assess end‑to‑end solution architecture and articulate trade‑offs to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems and integration concepts (API, data pipelines, ERP environments such as Oracle).
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Certifications (Preferred):
