Singapore-based Role


Role Purpose: 

The Marine Systems Design Engineer is responsible for the interface with CTR in a lease and operate context for the engineering, integration, testing, commissioning, and delivery of FPSO marine systems throughout project execution, ensuring compliance with marine regulations, classification requirements, and operational performance objectives.

The role supports all marine utility and vessel systems required for safe FPSO operation and station keeping.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 

    Detailed Engineering

    Develop and review engineering deliverables for:

    • Ballast systems
    • Bilge systems
    • Cargo and slop systems
    • Utility water systems
    • Potable water systems
    • Seawater lift systems
    • Marine fuel systems
    • Marine compressed air systems
    • Tank venting systems
    • Inert gas systems


    Marine Equipment Engineering

    Provide engineering support for:

    • Cargo pumps
    • Ballast pumps
    • Offloading systems
    • Mooring support systems
    • Marine utility equipment
    • Hull service systems


    Regulatory Compliance

    • Ensure compliance with:
      • IMO requirements
      • SOLAS
      • MARPOL
      • Classification Society Rules
      • Flag State regulations
      • Client specifications


    Procurement & Vendor Management

    • Prepare technical requisitions.
    • Conduct bid evaluations.
    • Review vendor documentation.
    • Coordinate package interfaces.


    Construction & Commissioning

    • Support shipyard fabrication and integration.
    • Participate in FATs and system commissioning.
    • Support marine systems testing and offshore startup.
    • Assist with marine trials and performance testing

Qualifications include but are not limited to the following: 

Education: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Naval Architecture.

Experience:

  • 5–15 years in FPSO, tanker conversion, offshore platform, or shipbuilding projects.

Skills: 

  1. Knowledge
  • Marine systems design.
  • FPSO utility systems.
  • Marine regulations and classification requirements.
  • Shipyard construction support.
  • Commissioning and startup activities.
