ROLE PURPOSE:

  • Facility Engineer is responsible to perform maintenance and integrity assurance tasks of the asset in the safest and cost-effective way. This is achieved via effective implementation of maintenance programs, establishment of work procedures or facility improvements.
  • Incumbent has a direct responsibility for a range of facility infrastructure needs such as mechanical static, structural and piping.
  • The day-to-day running of the facility, incumbent may have budgetary responsibilities and duties around optimizing operational efficiency. May also involved directly or provide supporting function in the development of new facilities, from the planning stage until execution.
  • All tasks performed by Facility Engineer will be in strict accordance with internal policies and SOPs as well as any relevant external regulations. To ensure full compliance, maintaining accurate documentation for their tasks is an important part of the role.
  • Facility Engineer will be required to work closely with other engineering disciplines and support functions to ensure the facility is safe and reliable.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Gathering and analysing data, blueprints, and reports.
  • Determining facility and equipment specifications.
  • Analysing project costs and preparing budgets.
  • Designing and overseeing the implementation of facility expansion, layout, various systems, and quality controls.
  • Evaluating operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Developing processing plans and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Planning and coordinating infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules and activities.
  • Coordinating and overseeing contractors performing maintenance activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, O&G industry codes and standards, and health and safety standards.
  • Preparing reports and compliance documentation.
  • Reviews job plans and completed Work Orders for accuracy and completeness in the Company CMMS system (ORACLE-eAM).
  • Assist in the development of scope of work, expenditures and costing projection, for all support contracts being established for the Companys infrastructure and equipment. Represent the Operations as required in any meeting and negotiations relating to these contracts.
  • Assist offshore operations group in the troubleshooting and resolution of all technical queries pertaining to the facility.

  • Managing conflicting goals between stakeholders and Contractors.
  • Arrive at the optimum solutions to maximize business benefit
  • Ensure maximizing of the business value in planning every activity over the asset life cycle.

HSSE in Operations

  • Commitment to Health, Safety, Security and protection of the environment by demonstrating safe work practices, schedule specific HSE related site visits, actively participate in safety meetings.

Training and Development

  • Promote Health, Safety, and Security and Environmental awareness through inductions, training, inspection and promotions.
  • IPC / IDP to be self managed.
  • Promote Coursera Courses
  • Perform Core Values & Behaviour competence assessment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Engineering Degree.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Facility Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Ability to identify and utilize relevant engineering standards and Codes related to Mechanical Engineering.

Skills:

  • Computer proficient in the use of MS Office i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoints and Outlook.
  • Experience with software, PDMS, AutoCAD, CMMS (Oracle, Maximo or SAP)
  • Good communicator and organizer at all levels; fluent in English, oral and written.
  • Fully aware of HSE and process safety requirements.
  • Team player, excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with good communications skills (i.e. report writing and presentations) are essential. Working under pressure in challenging environment.
