Role Purpose
The Specialist, IT Project & Priority Services is responsible for coordinating and managing IT projects delivered through third-party contracts while ensuring the successful delivery of priority IT services across the organization. The role supports business-critical initiatives, including project execution, executive and corporate events, and cross-functional IT coordination, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and operational objectives.
Working closely with Global IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors, the role acts as a key liaison to drive project delivery, manage service quality, and support high-visibility corporate activities requiring dedicated IT coordination.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinate and manage end-to-end delivery of IT projects, ensuring alignment with approved scope, timelines, quality standards, and business priorities.
- Support major business initiatives, including the Tangkulo project, by coordinating project activities, stakeholder engagement, infrastructure readiness, and technology deployment.
- Monitor project milestones, deliverables, risks, and dependencies, and provide timely status updates and escalation of issues where required.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), implementation activities, system handovers, and post-deployment support to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Plan and coordinate priority IT services for corporate townhalls, executive meetings, management events, and other high-profile business activities.
- Act as the primary point of coordination for IT support during strategic corporate and industry events, ensuring reliable service delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Liaise with Global IT teams and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with corporate IT standards, policies, and governance requirements.
- Coordinate and manage relationships with vendors and service providers, including performance monitoring, deliverable tracking, SLA compliance, and contract support activities.
- Maintain project documentation, repositories, reports, and lessons learned to support effective governance and knowledge management.
- Support the preparation of management reports, presentations, governance materials, and project-related documentation for business stakeholders and leadership teams.
Qualifications include but are not limited to the following:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM) are an advantage.
Experience
- Min. 5 years of experience in IT project coordination, IT service management, or related roles within the oil & gas or energy industry.
- Demonstrated experience managing third-party vendors, outsourced service contracts, and cross-functional project activities.
- Experience working with regional or global IT teams and supporting enterprise-wide technology initiatives.
- Experience supporting executive-level events, management engagements, or business-critical IT services is highly preferred.
Skills
- Strong understanding of IT project management principles, methodologies, and project coordination practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and project management tools.
- Strong vendor management, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) practices and tools is an advantage.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities with a proactive and service-oriented mindset.
