From Mur&Partners we are looking for a Field Service Manager reporting directly to Management, the mission of this role will be to lead and coordinate the company's technical field operations in Portugal, ensuring the correct planning, execution and supervision of installation, repair and maintenance activities for technical equipment, including refrigeration systems.
The Field Service Manager will be responsible for managing field technical teams, guaranteeing high standards of quality, safety and operational efficiency, while ensuring the continuous development and training of the teams under their responsibility.
The position requires a hands-on and operational leader, with strong experience managing technical teams in the field, capable of coordinating interventions in urban and street environments and acting as a key technical point of contact between field teams, clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate and develop technical teams responsible for installation, repair and maintenance activities in the field.
- Plan and supervise daily technical operations, optimizing routes, resources and intervention times.
- Ensure compliance with technical, safety and quality standards across all field activities.
- Coordinate works related to refrigeration equipment, including installation, corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance.
- Act as the main technical point of contact between field teams, clients, suppliers and internal departments.
- Analyze technical incidents, define corrective actions and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Participate in the technical and operational training of field teams.
- Monitor performance indicators and operational KPIs, proposing continuous improvement actions.
- Ensure compliance with local health, safety and risk prevention regulations.
- Support the improvement of operational procedures, technical processes and reporting systems.
- Contribute to the efficient allocation of resources and ensure service levels are met.
Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering or higher technical education in Electricity, Electromechanics, Refrigeration, Industrial Engineering or similar.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience managing technical teams.
- Proven experience coordinating field repair and installation teams.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with refrigeration equipment and associated technical systems.
- Experience in technical field service environments or industrial operations will be highly valued.
- Knowledge of regulations related to refrigeration and industrial or commercial cooling systems will be an asset.
- Experience training and developing technical teams will be positively valued.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies will be an advantage.
- Good command of planning, reporting and operational management tools.
- Availability to travel within Portugal.
- Fluency in Portuguese, English and Spanish will be highly valued.
