About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Data and Analytics Engineer Intern to join our data team and gain hands-on experience across data engineering, data analytics, and data science. This role is ideal for students or fresh graduates who enjoy working with data and building data-driven solutions using Python.

You will work closely with data engineers, analytics engineers, and data scientists to support real-world projects, from data ingestion and transformation to analysis and modeling.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines (ETL/ELT)

  • Collect, clean, and transform structured and unstructured data

  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends and insights

  • Build datasets for analytics and reporting use cases

  • Create reports, dashboards, or visualizations for stakeholders

  • Support data science tasks, such as feature engineering and basic modeling

  • Write clean, well-documented Python and SQL code

  • Collaborate with team members to improve data quality, reliability, and performance

Requirements

  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Python

  • Familiarity with data libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib/Seaborn

  • Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases

  • Understanding of:

    • Data Engineering concepts (ETL/ELT, pipelines, data warehouses)

    • Data Analytics concepts (metrics, KPIs, reporting)

    • Basic Data Science fundamentals (statistics, simple machine learning)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Willingness to learn, experiment, and receive feedback

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure)

  • Familiarity with BigQuery, PostgreSQL, or similar databases

  • Knowledge of Airflow, dbt, Spark, or Kafka

  • Experience using Jupyter Notebook

  • Familiarity with Git and version control

  • Personal projects, coursework, or prior internship related to data
