NetSuite Developer

JOB SUMMARY:

Review, analyze and modify the programming systems including encoding, developing, testing and debugging to support NetSuite implementation. Design and develop application tables, reports and new modules to improve system efficiency. Coordinate software integration and maintains technical documentation.

KEY RESULTS AREAS (RESPONSIBILITIES):

/ Design, develop, and maintain customizations in NetSuite using Suite Script 2.x (User Event, Client, Scheduled, Map/Reduce, Restlet, Suitelet, Workflows Action script, Custom GL Plug-ins)

/ Implement, enhance, and maintain workflows using SuiteFlow to automate business processes such as approvals, notifications, record updates, and validations. Optimize existing workflows for performance, ensure scalability, and troubleshoot workflow-related issues.

/ Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues with detailed root cause analysis and timely fixes.

/ Develop and consume APIs using SOAP and REST for third-party integrations.

/ Develop and maintain custom reports, saved searches, and dashboards to provide actionable insights

/ Hands-on experience in designing and implementing technical solutions for new enhancements, reviewing and optimizing existing designs to resolve performance bottlenecks, and creating comprehensive technical documentation.

/ Implementing NetSuite add-ons to integrate functionality such as credit card processing, ACH, address verification, eSignatures, CRM, etc.

/ Strong understanding of core business processes, including Accounting, Sales Cycle, Purchase Cycle, and Quote-to-Cash workflows (covering billing, revenue management, subscription management, professional services, procurement, and fulfillment).

/ Develop scalable and efficient code solutions using a structured approach, with a focus on long-term maintainability, performance, and accessibility.

/ Ability to build excellent working relationships within teams to effectively communicate and coordinate projects to both technical and non-technical team members

/ Ability to train team members on Suite Script, debugging and troubleshoot issues

/ Ensure smooth adoption of technical solutions deployment and support

/ Taking an active role in the continuous improvement of our implementation methodology

/ Support business development initiatives by leading solution architecture components, contributing to proposal development, and delivering presentations to clients.

EDUCATION

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent

• SuiteCloud Developer Certification is preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 3-5 years of experience as a NetSuite Developer
