Area Operations Manager - Retail (Permanent) Richards Bay

This role is ideal for a candidate with Food Retail Management experience or strong proven senior retail experience

What You'll Need

• General retail experience 8 years ++ 
• 5–7 years in multi-site retail operations
• Branch or Regional Management retail experience at least 5 years
• Strong financial, stock control, and people management skills
• Valid driver's licence — extensive travel required
• Proficient in MS Office, Google Suite, and POS systems

Key Responsibilities

• Drive GP% targets and conduct weekly financial reviews across all sites
• Enforce stock controls — shrinkage below 1%, fuel variances below 0.5%
• Maintain site standards: cleanliness, pricing, merchandising, and compliance
• Oversee cash, banking, reconciliations, and back-office accuracy
• Lead, coach, and performance manage Site Managers and Supervisors
• Handle recruitment, disciplinaries, and CCMA matters
• Ensure HSEQ compliance and full system accuracy across all platforms
