Junior Photographer - National

This is NOT a role for a self taught or hobby photographer - qualification is minimum consideration criteria

Requirements

• Relevant formal qualification in Photography — National Diploma,  OR BA (Photography / Visual Communication), or NQF Level 6+ from a recognised institution
• Minimum 2 – 4 years' experience in a photography role 
• Proven experience with studio lighting setups and on-location shoots
• Demonstrable proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop or editing related software
• Portfolio showcasing range, technical skill, and creative eye — portfolio submission is compulsory with application
• Excellent understanding of light, composition, colour theory, and camera settings (DSLR / mirrorless - preffered)
• Strong attention to detail and a high standard for image quality
• Ability to manage multiple briefs simultaneously and deliver on time
• Good communication and interpersonal skills — comfortable working with clients, models, and teams on set
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to take direction and work independently
• Experience in product / e-commerce photography
• Basic videography and video editing skills (Adobe Premiere Pro / Final Cut Pro)
• Knowledge of social media content formats and requirements (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook)
• Experience using a digital asset management (DAM) system
• Drivers licence, beneficial
