Requirements

  • Grade 12.

  • SAMTRAC or a National Diploma in Safety Management (or similar).

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Good understanding of the OHS Act and safety systems.

  • Computer literate (MS Office).

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation and standards.

  • Conduct safety inspections and audits on equipment, facilities, and work areas.

  • Investigate workplace incidents and implement preventative measures.

  • Carry out hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA).

  • Ensure contractors and employees follow all safety procedures and permit requirements.

  • Assist with safety training, inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.

  • Monitor environmental compliance and support environmental audits.

  • Maintain safety records, reports, and compliance registers.

  • Promote a strong safety culture across all shifts.

We are looking for a SHE Officer to support and maintain high standards of safety, health, and environmental compliance on site. This role will be responsible for ensuring employees work in a safe environment and that all safety policies and legal requirements are followed.
