Senior Network Architect

World Wide Technology EMEA. has an opportunity available for a Senior Network Engineer/Architectwithin the Professional Services Department.

Position

The successful candidate will have substantial experience as a Senior Network Engineer/Architect, with extensive experience of network monitoring platforms and tools

Responsibilities:

• Complete network transformation locations across the UK/Europe including offices, warehouses, and manufacturing plants
• Network transformation work begins now and extends through 12 months
• Technologies involved include Cisco Routing & Switching
• Innovate forward-thinking solutions to solve problems

Experience and Qualifications:

• Cisco certification - CCIE - Routing & Switching
• 10+ years of experience in network Cisco Routing & Switching, design, configuration, implementation and troubleshooting
• Experience managing common network services such as DHCP and DNS
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VoIP, QOS, IPSec, Cisco Switches (Catalyst 3000, 4000, 9000, NEXUS 7K/5K/2K, etc.), Cisco ASA firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls, network analyzers, network monitoring, wireless technologies, VPN (Cisco/Pulse Secure/IPSEC/SSL), Windows and UNIX
• Ability to solve complex problems and perform network tuning based on in-depth performance and protocol analysis for network infrastructure
• Understanding of OSI model
• Team-oriented mindset, flexible in working directly with all levels of users and management
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation performing weekend and after-hours support
• Able to troubleshoot and escalate effectively
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
