DESCRIPTION:
The client is seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant Intern for a 3 month internship. This role provides a valuable opportunity for a recent graduate or current accounting student to gain hands-on experience in various accounting tasks and learn from experienced professionals in a fast-paced work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES (INDICATIVE):
- Prepare financial statements and reports.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Process accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Support tax preparation and compliance.
- Research accounting regulations and standards.
- Assist with ad-hoc accounting tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
