Internship Overview:
Our client is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join its team as a People and Culture (Human Resources) Intern for a 3-month internship. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in gaining hands-on experience in the transportation industry and learning about the role of HR in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities (Generic Only):
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process for new employees, including posting job ads, reviewing resumes, and conducting interviews
- Support the HR team in maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Help organize and coordinate employee training and development programs
- Assist with performance management processes, including conducting performance reviews and providing feedback to employees
- Participate in company-wide initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture
- Assist in the planning and execution of employee engagement activities and events
- Collaborate with different departments to address any HR-related issues or concerns
- Conduct research and assist with the implementation of new HR policies and procedures
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the HR team.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong interest in the transportation engineering industry and HR
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
