Sr. Data Engineer

Role & Responsibilities:

• Work alongside data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to manage the infrastructure for seamless data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources.
• Design, construct, and oversee data pipelines, serving business, research, and product units.
• Create intuitive data models to provide business insights to company stakeholders through a self-service analytics approach.
• Adopt and promote top-notch data engineering practices, encompassing testing, step-by-step modelling, documentation, and data snapshots.
• Excel in a distributed, cross-functional team setting, particularly if you're self-driven.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years in a data-centric engineering position.
• Deep understanding of relational databases and cloud data warehouses.
• Proven skills in SQL query creation and optimization.
• Familiarity with custom data integration development.
• Essential experience with DBT, encompassing testing, documentation, macros, and operations.
• Familiarity with cloud solutions and services.
• Strong Python skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, especially for bug detection, edge case resolution, and analysis of internal/external data and processes.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Required stack:  SQL / Javascript / Python / DBT 

Nice to have: NumPy / MLOps

• Proficient with PostgreSQL and GCP
