Job Openings Systems Champion / Integrator Role

About the job Systems Champion / Integrator Role

Over the last 8 years, the UV Pools team has been growing and evolving - and were now ready (drum

roll, please!) to hire our Systems Champion! Our glue that will hold all of our systems and initiatives

together!

The Systems Champion will be responsible for executing initiatives across the business. The overall

purpose of this role is to manage the systems, oversee the day-to-day business operations, and

support/lead the team to long-term growth.

No computer science or coding experience is required. When we refer to systems, we mean ensuring all

our staff have the tools and knowledge to do their jobs efficiently and effectively.

Responsibility:

As a systems champion, your focus will be on ensuring our people and processes are aligned. This means you will interact with specific departments like sales, operations and administration  and help hold the team accountable to our way of doing things.

  • Our philosophy at UV Pools is that the only way to provide customer care and grow rapidly is to have an extremely high-performing team. We believe in the right people/right seats and 100% A players. Systems management means setting the bar high and removing the stumbling blocks, ensuring everyone has the tools to do their job well. You will also ensure complete  accountabilities and expectations and do what it takes to enable the team to achieve its goals.
  • You need to be focused and an effective problem solver. Set the tone and ensure compliance with our companys tools and systems. What does this mean? It means ensuring that our business is producing the right results and doing so in the right way. That means we have documented and established followed SOPs that we use to structure and process as our guide, that we have no single points of failure, and that we manage our risks and issues proactively and in a controlled way.
  • Essentially you will ensure that the team is organized, equipped and disciplined in following the UV Pools' way of operating.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to take the company vision and strategy and put it into motion through assistance in executing these plans.
  • Simplification and streamlining. We are looking for someone who enables the business to achieve goals and does so in the simplest, cleanest way possible. You will constantly look for micro ways to improve, simplify, and make it easier for our staff, vendors, and customers.
  • The DNA of our business is excellence in customer care. You need to live, eat and breathe that philosophy, and ensure that all our people, process, product and systems do too.

Is this you:

  • Working with people and projects to troubleshoot and help them find a common solution comes naturally to you. You know how to work with people that may be frustrated with something that isn't working for them and are able to help them see the value in change.
  • You're an organized person, disciplined in the way you use checklists and genuinely enjoy making things better every day. You create order out of chaos, and love to support your colleagues with the same.
  • You love being the glue. Cross-collaboration, coordination and effective problem-solving come naturally to you.
  • You genuinely and deeply care about customers having a delightfully excellent customer experience.
  • You're calm under pressure, resilient, and can shift quickly as needed. As a seasonal pool repair business, our deadline-driven nature means there are times when stress is high, a systems champion is required to keep everyone rowing in the right direction. You need to be someone who maintains that environment.
  • You are fast-paced, highly energetic and ambitious (we're that way as a team, so need someone who can lead that way too!).
  • You love data and want to constantly learn how to use it better to make effective decisions.
  • You are tech savvy and have used Zoho CRM (or a similar CRM system), and at least one online project management and collaboration tool (we use Trello, but there are many similar ones).
  • You're comfortable learning software without a tech team or a manual.
  • You are excited to help execute against the CEOs vision and translate that back to the team day to day.
  • You like to work independently and are comfortable taking direction and running with it.

Recommended experience & training:

  • 2-5 years of experience in running systems and managing people
  • Training in business administration, business systems, or as a business analyst
  • 5+ years working on or using computers, savvy and comfortable learning new software.

Nice but not required skills and experience:

  • Sales Training Experience
  • Project Management experience and/or training
  • Computer Science Training and/or Experience
  • Experience in managing teams in a project-based environment

Benefits:

  • We offer 100% covered Health & Wellness Insurance Plan.
  • We have lucrative performance bonus structures.
  • We also offer an employer-funded double-RRSP-matching program (an excellent program for those who want to buy their first home one day, also great for growing your retirement savings)
  • We cover employee cellphone and personal vehicle charges (when used in the field)
