Android Engineer 

(Company confidential) Our client is building a consumer finance app for emerging markets in partnership with major global distribution players. Our product combines virtual banking and cryptocurrency wallets, enabling users worldwide to move seamlessly within our financial ecosystem.

Scope of Role

You will be a key contributor to our flagship Android client, owning the end-to-end development lifecycle from design and architecture to implementation, testing, and deployment. As a technical leader, you'll establish best practices, mentor engineers, and ensure the delivery of clean, maintainable, and performant Kotlin code.

Technical Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional Android development
  • Expert proficiency in Kotlin (coroutines, flow, advanced constructs)
  • Deep knowledge of Android SDKs, APIs, and Material Design
  • Architectural expertise (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, ViewModels)
  • Advanced Jetpack Compose experience (custom composables, navigation)
  • Networking & data handling (REST APIs, Retrofit/OkHttp, WebSockets, Room, secure storage)
  • Concurrency & performance optimization (coroutines, threading, profiling tools)
  • Testing (JUnit, Mockito, Espresso, Compose testing)
  • Dependency management (Gradle/Kotlin DSL)
  • CI/CD pipeline experience (Fastlane, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
  • Senior+ engineer level: autonomous yet collaborative

Bonus Skills

  • Experience in fintech (payments, crypto, on/off ramps)
  • Full-stack engineering capability
  • Familiarity with modern web stack (Postgres, Redis)
