Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (Full-Time, Nights)
Join a dedicated team at a Level 4 Maternal Designated Facility in Houston, TX. This hospital features 12 labor beds, 19 antepartum beds, and 4 swing beds, managing approximately 400–450 deliveries per month.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Care: Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process, including assessments, treatments, and patient education.
- Collaboration: Work with physicians and the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and clinical decisions.
- Planning: Develop and implement discharge and transfer plans while participating in ongoing program evaluations.
- Compliance: Adhere to all Texas Board of Nursing standards and institutional policies regarding safety and quality.
Position Requirements
- Experience: Must have 3–5 years of experience in an acute care Labor and Delivery setting.
- Education: Must hold a BSN. (Note: ADN and new graduates will not be considered for this specific role).
- Licensure: Active RN Texas License or multi-state compact RN license, clear of stipulations or disciplinary actions.
- Shift Availability: Full-time night shift exclusively. There are no day shift or part-time opportunities available.
- Interview Process: All interviews and job shadows will be conducted during the night shift.
- Health & Safety: This is a non-smoking organization that tests for nicotine. COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations are required.
