Our client is a leading global consulting firm that specializes in providing customs and trade compliance solutions to businesses of all sizes. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customs Analyst to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis.
As a Customs Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all customs and trade regulations for our clients. This includes analyzing import and export data, identifying potential compliance issues, and developing strategies to mitigate risks. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and preparing necessary reports for regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze import and export data to identify potential compliance issues
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with customs and trade regulations
- Monitor changes in regulations and update company policies and procedures accordingly
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation to regulatory agencies
- Maintain accurate records of all import and export activities
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Provide training and support to other team members on customs and trade compliance matters
- Communicate with clients to provide guidance and support on customs and trade compliance issues
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in regulations to provide proactive solutions to clients
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in customs and trade compliance
- Strong knowledge of customs and trade regulations, including Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes, Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), and other trade programs
- Experience with import and export documentation and record-keeping
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong data analytical skills (Excel, Power BI, Power Query)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs
This is a 12-month contract for a hybrid role, requiring 4 days in the office and allowing 1 remote day per week.
