Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management & Accounting Oversight
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with international and localfinancial regulations.
- Supervise bookkeeping activities, ensuring accuracy in financial records, ledger maintenance,and reconciliations.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely financial reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, and cash flowstatements.
2. Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with VAT, corporate tax, and other applicable tax regulations.
- Prepare and review tax filings, including VAT returns, withholding tax, and corporate taxsubmissions.
- Liaise with tax authorities and auditors for tax assessments and compliance matters.
3. Banking & Financial Transactions
- Handle Letter of Credit (LC) processes, ensuring seamless international trade transactions.
- Manage relationships with banks, ensuring smooth processing of payments, fund transfers, andreconciliations.
- Oversee foreign exchange transactions and currency management for international dealings.
4. Business Risk & Audit Management
- Ensure financial processes align with regulatory and corporate governance standards.
- Identify financial risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with internal and external auditors to streamline the audit process.
- Establish and enforce compliance with company-wide financial policies and procedures.
5. Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and mentor a team of four accounting professionals, providing guidance and performanceevaluations.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively, ensuring efficient workflow within the accountingdepartment.
- Train the team on financial best practices, tax laws, and regulatory changes.
6. Financial Planning & Strategy
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decision-making.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Support cost control initiatives and profitability analysis for the company.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Must have professional certification (CMA, CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with Big 4 firms or large corporations.
- Strong knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and local regulations.
- Expertise in bookkeeping, VAT, corporate tax, and international trade.
- Proficiency in ERP(SAP) systems and accounting software.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
