About the Role
We are hiring on behalf of a large banking client for a Principal Technical Consultant to take on a senior hybrid consultative and technical role. Acting as a Trusted Advisor, the successful candidate will balance strategic advisory responsibilities with hands-on implementation support, platform architecture guidance, and technical governance.
This is a replacement resource on an active engagement. The client requires someone who can integrate quickly, build trust with both technical and business stakeholders, and operate at the highest level of professionalism. Only senior candidates will be considered and CVs are required urgently.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Trusted Advisor to the client, providing strategic and technical guidance across the platform
- Support hands-on implementation, architecture decisions, and platform evolution
- Lead technical troubleshooting and drive resolution of complex platform issues
- Conduct assessments and develop best practice recommendations and evolution roadmaps
- Facilitate alignment between technical teams and bank leadership at all levels
- Provide consultative support across ITOM, App Engine, CSM, and SPM as required
- Ensure adherence to technical governance, upgrade best practices, and platform standards
Technical Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of ServiceNow experience, including at least 2 years in an Architect or Senior Consultant role
- Deep expertise in ITSM — Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and CMDB
- Working knowledge of NowAssist and ServiceNow platform architecture
- Familiarity with ITOM, App Engine, CSM, and SPM for consultative support
- Experience in Agile methodologies and ITIL v4
- Prior experience in the banking or financial services sector is highly desirable
- Active ServiceNow certification required
