Position: Junior DevOps-Engineer-Linux infrastructure
Location: Munich, Germany
Type: Full-time/on-site
Tasks:
- Responsible for the technical, procedural, quantitative, and qualitative implementation of work packages in compliance with regulations and within the respective time cycles (sprints, releases).
- Support the Product Owner (PO) and architects in designing and creating the Definition of Ready (DoR) for process types and scheduling (sprints, releases).
- Maintain, administer, and ensure data quality and compliance in the corresponding tools for the respective work packages.
- Ensure the technical, procedural, and compliance-compliant achievement of work packages (Definition of Done DoD), sprint goals, and releases.
- Create, test, and continuously provision deployments.
- Develop, test, provision, implement, and execute automations for deployments, configurations, provisioning, patching, orchestration, scaling, and performance optimization.
- Document IT services, applications, and related processes.
- Execute, review, and document deployments.
- Support analysis, solutions, workarounds, and bug fixing for 2nd and 3rd level service tickets.
- Implement, test, maintain, and continuously ensure event management (monitoring, logging, alerting) for IT services and applications.
- Ensure proper documentation, including operating instructions and interface documentation.
Requirements:
- Ability to independently structure operational tasks.
- Deployment and operational experience with Linux-based IT services (e.g., directory and basic services, server administration, patch management, monitoring, logging).
- Knowledge of, and ideally certification in, IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks, such as ITIL v4.
- Knowledge of IT network infrastructure (technologies, protocols, network planning).
- Knowledge of IT security principles (e.g., SELinux).
- German and English language skills at C1 level.
- At least 2 years of experience in IT service operations.
- At least 2 years of experience as an engineer in a Linux enterprise environment.
- At least 2 years of experience in the implementation and operation of Linux distributions in an enterprise environment (e.g., RedHat, Debian), covering most relevant topics.
- At least 1 year of experience in cluster virtualization environments in an enterprise setting.
- At least 1 year of experience in cluster containerization environments, with a focus on Kubernetes or OpenShift, in an enterprise setting.
- At least 1 year of experience in central patch management.
