Position Overview

The role supports project managers in IT project environments with a focus on risk management, quality assurance, project coordination, and project governance. The position involves planning, monitoring, reviewing, and improving project activities to ensure structured delivery, transparent documentation, and compliance with quality and risk management standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning and steering of medium-sized and complex IT projects
• Assist project managers and project sponsors in preparing and conducting quality gates
• Organize, moderate, and document project review meetings and coordination sessions
• Review project deliverables and project documentation from a technical and content perspective
• Identify, analyze, and monitor project risks and dependencies across projects and programs
• Perform qualitative and quantitative risk assessments and define suitable mitigation measures
• Track and report risks using designated risk management tools
• Prepare and facilitate risk workshops with relevant stakeholders
• Plan and execute quality management activities within project environments
• Check project documentation for consistency, completeness, and compliance
• Support the development and improvement of quality assurance measures in projects
• Prepare status updates, decision documents, reports, and project-related documentation
• Work closely with project teams, stakeholders, and management to ensure transparent communication and controlled project execution

Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field; alternatively, commercial or IT-related vocational training with relevant professional experience
• Several years of experience as a project team member, consultant, or coordinator in digitalization or IT project environments
• Experience in project management or project leadership
• Strong experience in risk management within project environments
• Experience in quality management, including document reviews, quality gates, and quality assurance measures
• Knowledge of common project management standards, ideally supported by IPMA D or an equivalent certification
• ITIL Foundation certification or proven practical experience in IT service management
• Experience with Jira or comparable project management tools
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and MS Project
• Experience with risk management tools is an advantage
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to structure complex topics and communicate them clearly to different target groups
• Strong communication, moderation, and stakeholder management skills
• Professional German and good English language skills
• Willingness to travel as required by the role
