Tasks:

• Electrical development of simple electromechanical devices/segments/systems in line with requirements and manufacturing specifications using suitable tools by:
• Obtaining the overarching requirements and developing the specific requirements for the unit in question.
• Developing solution principles for implementing the requirements, taking into account the reuse of existing components.
• Supporting the estimation of effort for the unit for which you are responsible with regard to development and manufacturing.
• Creating concepts that meet requirements.
• Designing and developing the unit for which you are responsible in accordance with requirements and manufacturing specifications.
• Designing and selecting suitable standard and purchased parts for the unit for which you are responsible.
• Coordinating interfaces with the circuit board development department.
• Creating higher-level wiring diagrams.
• Defining specifications for system cable development.
• Coordination with other specialist departments regarding the function, operation, and design of electronic/optronic devices.
• Creation and technical review of the standardized documentation (development and manufacturing documentation).
• Product data processing in SAP PLM, including bill of materials creation.
• Planning, coordination, and implementation of integration and commissioning activities for the first product.
• Conducting requested inspections and tests for the unit responsible during development (engineering tests).
• Preparing the unit responsible for series production, including preparatory work for testing and series production start-up.
• Creation of process-compliant specifications for the areas of development, procurement, and testing.

Requirements:

• Completed bachelor's degree in general electrical engineering, communications engineering, mechatronics, or comparable.
• Several years of experience in the electrical development of devices and systems.
• Good knowledge in one or more of the following areas: electrical drives, power supplies, computer systems, interface electronics, input/output devices, bus systems, processors.
• Several years of experience in development with the E3-Series cable development tool.
• Basic knowledge of military norms and standards, primarily EMC and power supplies for land vehicles and ships.
• Good knowledge of SAP and PLM.
• Very good English ang German skills (spoken and written).
• Very good working knowledge of MS Office.
• Time- and cost-oriented approach to work

Areas of responsibility/key topics:

• Electrical development of systems/equipment
• Coordination of electrical interfaces (with circuit board development and other departments)
• Design of standard and purchased parts for components (e.g., MIL connectors)
• Implementation of system architecture
• Coordination with other departments regarding the technology to be used
• Definition of specifications for cable development (environmental requirements and material designs)
• Planning and preparation of integration work for the first prototype
• Execution/support of integration work for the first prototypes
• Implementation of systems in higher-level systems (e.g., in vehicles/towers)
• In general, it can be said that electrical developers are responsible for entire systems/equipment, not for individual components such as printed circuit boards.
