Role & Objective

We are seeking a talented MATLAB Developer/Control Engineer in Egypt, to help us in the modernization of an existing financial forecasting tool developed in MATLAB. The role within this project involves data processing and developing a Graphical User Interface (GUI) Module. The role also involves developing control systems algorithms for our current R&D projects.

Core Responsibilities

• B.Sc. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field.

• Develop and maintain MATLAB code-base that automates data ingestion, model execution and professional reporting (charts, Excel, PDF) for a multi-block forecasting platform.

• Build user-friendly GUIs in MATLABeither with App Designer or fully programmatic uifigure codeto let domain experts explore data, adjust parameters and run scenarios

• Guarantee reproducibility and quality through Git versioning, automated run logging and comprehensive English code documentation / inline comments

• Work in agile sprints; optionally prototype battery-management algorithms (SoC/SOH, cell balancing) when main workload allows

Must-Have Skills

• 2-5 years of hands-on experience MATLAB development, especially in data- or model-driven algorithms & GUI design

• Proficiency in building GUIs in MATLAB (App Designer or custom uifigure scripts).

• Solid grasp of software-engineering best practice: modular design, unit testing, Git version control and basic CI.

• Comfortable working within agile workflows and issue-tracking systems.

• Excellent written and spoken English; able to document code clearly and concisely. environments.

Soft Skills

• Proactive ownership of the full development lifecycle

• Clear communicator in distributed teams

• Structured, analytical problem-solver under tight deadlines

• Quality-first mindset: testing, peer reviews and traceable documentation

Nice-to-Have (Preferred but not required)

• Simulink model-based design experience.

• Sensor-data filtering & Kalman-type estimators. Classical and modern control techniques (state-space, MPC, PID).

• Experience with large data pipelines, SQL/REST integrations or Dynare.

• Exposure to automotive BMS or ISO 26262 functional-safety practices, ISO 27001-related reporting.
