Tasks:

  • Contact person for project and product teams regarding system/product safety and the resulting requirements and processes
  • System analysis to identify hazards and risks as well as suitable countermeasures
  • Evaluation of safety concepts and architectures as part of the overall system requirements
  • Derivation of safety requirements for the various disciplines (hardware, software, and mechanics) from customer requirements and own analyses
  • Creation of approval-relevant documents
  • Monitoring and evaluation of compliance with processes necessary to achieve safety objectives
  • Collaboration in the planning of product verification and validation
  • Evaluation of verification and validation results with regard to the achievement of safety objectives
  • Creation of safety documentation accompanying development
  • Conducting impact analyses for product changes/improvements
  • Responsibility for safety-related internal and external interfaces (e.g., customers, suppliers, and other development partners, but also auditors)
  • Further development of in-house methods and processes for implementing the respective safety standards within development projects
  • Collaboration in higher-level committees (e.g., CoC Safety, BAAINBw working groups)

Requirements:

  • Completed technical degree (diploma, master's) (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science)
  • Initial experience in applying product safety law
  • Knowledge of SysML/UML and modern software development and testing methods
  • Good knowledge of German and English
  • Confident use of various analysis tools
  • Knowledge and experience in the areas of quality and configuration management
  • Business fluent English skills (spoken and written)
  • Ability to derive specific requirements for projects from norms and standards
  • Experience in moderating interdisciplinary teams
  • Quick comprehension as well as persuasiveness and assertiveness
  • Ability to manage conflicts
  • Willingness to travel worldwide
