Position: Systems Engineer- ILS

Tasks:

  • Conduct system logistics analyses and develop concepts as part of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for internal projects and external clients
  • Collect and analyze necessary data as a basis for further evaluation

  • Plan and execute system- and software-related ILS/LSA activities with a focus on:

    • RAMST analyses

    • FMECA

    • RMC analyses

    • MSG-3

    • Maintenance Task Analysis

    • LORA and Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analyses

  • Prepare system-specific ILS/LSA plans while ensuring alignment with development, project management, quality assurance, and configuration management
  • Conduct system analyses and comparative studies to support informed decision-making
  • Develop reliability and safety analyses to demonstrate compliance with safety requirements
  • Represent the department in meetings and present findings to program/project management and relevant authorities
  • Support the management team with acquisition-related tasks
  • Assist in drafting system specifications and system designs
  • Prepare and conduct progress audits to ensure proactive schedule and cost control

Requirements:

  • Completed (technical) university degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or a comparable technical field
  • Professional experience working with ILS/LSA methodologies in accordance with international and national standards, in both military and civil sectors
  • Proven experience in conducting logistical analyses and producing technical reports
  • Experience in evaluating LSAR/SSAR
  • Experience in the application of ILS/LSA/LCCA software tools is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and practices such as: MIL-HDBK-217, 217plus, FIDES, SN29500, MIL-STD-1629, MIL-STD-882, ICE 61508, ICE26262, MIL-STD-1388, ASD-S3000L, DO-254, DO-178, SAE ARP4761, etc.
  • Software skills: MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Word, SAP, reliability software, LSA databases (Omega PS, EAGLE, LBASE)
  • English proficiency at EFSET Level B2 / Proficiency Level 4
  • German language skills at least at C1 level (written and spoken) or native speaker

Mandatory Certifications:

  • Module 9A - Human Factors (145.A.30 e) for work in LTB
  • Module 10 - Aviation Law for work in LT
