Job Description and Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Legal Entity Controller to join our client's team in Munich. The position holder will be responsible for the following tasks:

Planning and Coordination

• Coordinate ongoing financial planning processes (budget, forecast, outlook)
• Ensure completeness of all bookings and accruals within Knorr-Bremse Systeme für Schienenfahrzeuge GmbH (SfS)
• Support and coordinate closing topics including profit center accounting and closing commentary

Financial Reporting

• Determine monthly financial results of SfS (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and key figures)
• Full commercial support of assigned business units, including:
• Planning of primary cost centers
• Coordination with responsible departments
• Intercompany revenue and cost reconciliation with partner companies
• Investment planning
• Coordination and validation of headcount planning and evaluations

Operational Controlling

• Proactive cost controlling, investment monitoring, commentary, and handover with relevant departments
• Processing purchase and staffing requests

Period Closings

• Responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
• Ensure all bookings and accruals are correctly posted within the area, including allocation of relevant intercompany expenses and revenues
• Manage accruals and provisions for the responsible area

Process Improvement

• Independently develop and improve controlling tools and processes within SfS-GmbH
• Take ownership of special tasks within the company related to controlling

Personal Requirements:

• Independent and structured working style combined with strong teamwork skills
• High willingness to learn, resilience, and flexibility
• Strong performance and quality awareness

Qualification & Evaluation Criteria (TOM):

Languages:

• German: Minimum business fluent (C1)
• English: Minimum business fluent (C1)

Education:

• Completed university degree in Business Administration or Business Informatics

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 57 years of experience in a controlling environment

IT Skills:

• Proficient in SAP R/3 FI, CO, BW, BI-IP, SEM-BCS, and OLAP databases

Accounting Standards:

• Very good knowledge of HGB and IFRS
