Tasks:

• Electrical development of simple electromechanical devices/segments/systems in line with requirements and production requirements using suitable tools:
• Obtaining the overarching requirements and developing the specific requirements for the responsible unit
• Developing solution principles to implement the requirements, taking into account the reuse of existing components
• Support in estimating the development and production costs for the responsible unit
• Creation of concepts in line with requirements
• Designing and creating the responsible unit in line with requirements and production requirements
• Design and selection of suitable standard and purchased parts for the responsible unit
• Binding coordination of interfaces with the PCB development department
• Creation of the higher-level wiring diagrams
• Binding definition of the specifications for system cable development
• Coordination with other specialist departments regarding the function, operation and design of electronic / optronic devices
• Creation and technical review of standard-compliant documentation (development and production documentation)
• Carrying out product data processing in SAP PLM including parts list creation
• Planning, coordination and implementation of integration and commissioning activities for the initial product
• Carrying out requested inspections and tests for the responsible unit during development (engineering tests)
• Realisation of series production readiness of the responsible unit including preparation for testability and series production start-up
• Creation of process-compliant specifications for the areas of development, procurement and testing

Requirements:

• Completed Bachelor's degree in general electrical engineering, communications engineering, mechatronics or comparable
• Several years of experience in the electrical development of devices and systems
• Good knowledge in one or more of the following areas: electrical drives, power supplies, computer systems, interface electronics, input/output devices, bus systems, processors
• Several years of experience in development with the E3 series cable development tool
• Basic knowledge of mil. Standards, primarily EMC and power supplies for land vehicles and ships
• Good knowledge of SAP PLM
• Very good English language skills (written and spoken)
• Very good knowledge of MS Office applications
• Time and cost-orientated way of working
• Willingness for interdisciplinary cooperation
• High organisational skills even under high pressure
• Structured, goal-orientated and independent way of working with a confident manner
• High level of commitment and initiative
• Willingness to travel worldwide
