The Accounting SAP Consultant is responsible for the governance, optimization, and further development of group-wide finance processes within an international corporate environment. The role combines functional ownership of SAP FI/CO processes with handson operational support, project leadership, and cross-functional stakeholder collaboration.

The position requires in-depth accounting knowledge. strong SAP S/4HANA FI/CO expertise, and the ability to translate business requirements into sustainable system and process solutions in close cooperation with IT and international finance teams.

Tasks:

• Assume functional responsibility for group-wide finance processes and drive their continuous improvement.
• Analyze, design, document, and optimize end-to-end financial processes across the organization.
• Develop and enforce group-wide accounting policies and ensure adherence across subsidiaries.
• Act as sparring partner to finance departments to identify optimization potential and execute necessary process clean-up activities.
• Maintain and further develop SAP S/4HANA FI/CO processes, including integration with connected upstream systems.
• Analyze business and process requirements and translate them into SAP-based solutions in collaboration with IT.
• Provide subject matter expertise on SAP topics such as asset accounting, general ledger postings, closing activities, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Support and enhance automation initiatives and digital finance solutions.
• Lead local and international finance-related projects.
• Manage requirement engineering processes for global and local initiatives.
• Ensure alignment between business stakeholders and technical implementation teams.

Requirements:

• Höhere Ausbildung (ETH / Uni / FH) in Informatik/Wirtschaft oder vergleichbare Ausbildung
• Several years of experience in financial accounting, preferably within an international corporate group.
• 5–8 years of professional experience in finance and accounting, with strong exposure to SAP FI/CO.
• Proven experience in international SAP projects and global organizational structures.
• Experience in requirements engineering and process analysis within finance transformation initiatives.
• Practical experience with intercompany reconciliation processes.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret end-to-end financial processes.
• Advanced expertise in SAP S/4HANA FI/CO
• Strong understanding of system and process integrations.
• Proficient in MS Office
• Experience with SAP Concur
• Experience with expense management solutions; invoice management knowledge is a plus.
• Strong analytical and conceptual capabilities with entrepreneurial thinking.
• Excellent communication skills and confident stakeholder management.
• Hands-on mentality with operational resilience.
• Ability to work independently while supporting an international finance organization.
• German: Fluent / business proficient – English: Fluent / business proficient.
