We are seeking a skilled Senior Optimization Specialist with strong expertise in mathematical optimization and vehicle routing using Gurobi to join our growing team. You will play a key role in designing and implementing optimization models that support dynamic dispatching and order allocation decisions. Your work will directly impact logistics efficiency and operational planning by enabling smarter decisions about routing, order consolidation, and daily dispatch strategies for a major Oil & Gas client.
Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and optimize mathematical optimization models for vehicle routing using Gurobi.

Develop algorithms that determine optimal order selection, consolidation, and dispatch timing.

Transition routing logic from static, geography-based planning to dynamic, order-based dispatching models.

Analyze logistics and operational constraints to incorporate realistic business rules into optimization models.

Collaborate closely with the project lead and client stakeholders to translate operational challenges into scalable optimization solutions.

Test, validate, and iterate on optimization models to ensure reliability and performance in real-world scenarios.

Document modeling approaches, assumptions, and results to support knowledge transfer and future development phases.
Must-Have Qualifications

5+ years of experience in optimization modeling, operations research, or advanced analytics roles.

Strong hands-on experience building optimization models using Gurobi.

Proven experience with vehicle routing problems (VRP), logistics optimization, or transportation planning.

Advanced proficiency in Python or another programming language used for optimization modeling.

Strong understanding of mathematical programming techniques such as mixed-integer linear programming (MILP).

Experience translating complex operational problems into optimization frameworks and decision models.

Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly when collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with logistics, transportation, or dispatch optimization in industries such as Oil & Gas, supply chain, or distribution.

Familiarity with order consolidation strategies, load planning, or fleet optimization.

Experience working in consulting or project-based environments with phased implementations or proofs of concept.

Exposure to large-scale operational optimization systems used in production environments.
