We are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator with experience in construction and electrical systems to join our growing team. You will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive project estimates while collaborating closely with project managers. Your work will directly impact project profitability, cost control, and overall bid success.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects, including retrofit and new construction work
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and technical documents to determine labor, materials, and time requirements
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimates align with project scope, timelines, and goals
- Utilize estimating software such as Accubid to develop accurate and competitive bids
- Maintain organized documentation of estimates, revisions, and pricing communications
- Evaluate project risks and identify cost-saving opportunities during the estimating process
- Manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards
Must-Have Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction, electrical contracting, or electrical engineering environments
- Experience using estimating software such as Accubid
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in cost estimation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation
- Solid understanding of cost control measures and pricing strategies within the construction industry
- Knowledge of construction site operations and project workflows
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards
- Prior experience working in remote or distributed team environments
