Home OS is building the operating system for home support a platform that helps people hire, manage, and coordinate trusted service providers for their household needs. From maintenance and cleaning to logistics and communication, Home OS aims to simplify home management through technology and automation.

The Opportunity

Were looking for our first engineering hire a Senior Full-Stack Engineer who will help lay the technical foundation for our platform. This is a hands-on builder role for someone excited to join at the earliest stage, shape the architecture, and work directly with the founders to bring our vision to life.

What Youll Do

  • Design and develop the initial Home OS web application using JavaScript and Node.js.

  • Lead early decisions on system architecture, infrastructure setup, and database design.

  • Integrate agentic AI capabilities by connecting to APIs such as OpenAI and similar platforms.

  • Build a modular and scalable system that avoids early technical debt.

  • Collaborate directly with the founders to iterate on product ideas and deliver MVP features quickly.

  • Manage deployment and basic cloud setup (preferably on AWS).

  • Ensure performance, reliability, and maintainability of the platform as it scales.

What Were Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally with Node.js and modern JavaScript frameworks.

  • Strong understanding of web application architecture, APIs, and data modeling.

  • Experience building or integrating AI or agentic systems (e.g., OpenAI APIs, LangChain, etc.).

  • Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).

  • Demonstrated ability to build end-to-end systems from scratch.

  • Fluent English; Portuguese or Spanish is a plus.

  • Based in Brazil or elsewhere in Latin America.

Nice to Have

  • Experience as a founding engineer or first technical hire in an early-stage startup.

  • Background in designing scalable backend systems.

  • Prior exposure to UX/UI collaboration and product-driven development.
