Senior Accountant

Job Title: Senior Accountant (Onsite Panama City) Bilingual with International Experience

Compensation: USD $2,500 $4,000/month depending on experience and qualifications

Location: Onsite in Panama City, Panama

About the Role:

We're looking for an experienced Panamanian accountant to join our team onsite in Panama City. This role requires full local certification, international experience, and the ability to sign off on financial statements and payroll. Youll be responsible for managing our accounting operations, ensuring full compliance, and supporting global financial coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounting processes in compliance with Panamanian and international standards (IFRS).
• Sign off on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and payroll.
• Ensure accurate tax filings, labor compliance, and regulatory reporting.
• Coordinate audits, liaise with tax authorities, and handle external reporting.
• Collaborate with global finance teams to support consolidated reporting.
• Prepare financial reports and strategic analysis for leadership.

Requirements:

• Certified Public Accountant (Contador Público Autorizado CPA) licensed in Panama, with authority to sign off on financials and payroll.
• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience, including time with international or multinational companies.
• Strong command of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero).
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• In-depth knowledge of local tax regulations, labor laws, and compliance processes.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in cross-border payroll or Employer of Record (EOR) structures.
• Background in startup or multinational finance operations.
