Role Summary:

NearSource is looking for a seasoned Java Backend Engineer with expertise in Spring Boot and Microservices architecture. Join our engineering team working on a project with a Fortune 500 client, where you'll contribute to scalable backend solutions and enterprise-grade API services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Architect and design backend systems with scalability and maintainability in mind
• Implement and manage RESTful APIs for seamless integration with the frontend and external systems
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers
• Diagnose and resolve production issues, ensuring application reliability and performance
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Contribute to the evolution of CI/CD pipelines and software delivery practices
• Create and execute unit and integration tests to maintain code quality
• Integrate industry best practices into development workflows

Must-Have Skills:

• Proficient in Java backend development using Spring Boot and Microservices
• Hands-on experience with RESTful API design and development
• Deep understanding of backend architecture principles and optimization techniques
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI)
• Skilled in Git and build tools such as Maven or Gradle
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex scenarios
• Self-driven with a high degree of ownership and accountability

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Exposure to monitoring and logging frameworks (e.g., ELK, Prometheus)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
