An Operations Support Specialist plays a vital behind-the-scenes role, providing

administrative and technical support to ensure smooth operational

processes, troubleshoot issues, and improve efficiency, while also

assisting customers and staff.


Key Responsibilities of an Operations Support Specialist:

  • Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, install and configure hardware, software, and networks
  • Operational Support: Monitor systems and processes for efficiency, manage inventory, coordinate deliveries, and maintain equipment
  • Administrative Support: Process invoices, manage calendars, handle financial transactions, and organize files.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyze issues, identify solutions, and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with IT, Sales, and other departments to ensure smooth workflows.
  • Documentation and Training: Create job aids, procedures, and documentation to support staff and improve workflows
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate reports, analyze data, and document processes to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail .
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and other relevant software .
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills . 
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues .
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Technical skills, particularly for those dealing with software or IT support roles
  • Knowledge of inventory management or enterprise resource planning systems .
  • A background as an administrative assistant or customer service representative .
