Position Overview:

An expeditor acts as an aid to the infield and office personnel. They are in this position to pick up parts, material and equipment and deliver these parts to either the shop or to specific locations out in the field to whoever needs such items. Also, they will be back up for the hydro jet machine during the week and the main hydro tech on Saturdays and when the hydro technician is unable to come into work during the work week.

Primary Responsibilities:· 

  • Pick up material, parts, and equipment from job sites and relocate to another job site and/or bring back to the shop.
  • Correctly strap down equipment and material for safe delivery.
  • Put unused material either in the shop or return materials to supply houses.
  • Bring water heater back to the shop for disposal.
  • Help clean up job sites and/or take trash away from job sites.
  • Clean up the material onto vehicles.
  • Keep track of shop stock material.
  • Report material to the general manager.
  • On weekends, clean the shop, office, and vehicles.
  • Act as the main support person for Saturday if main hydro scrub technician is out.
  • Check the condition of their vehicle and fill out a vehicle maintenance report daily.
  • Correctly strap down equipment and material for safe delivery.
  • Perform other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classification other than their own.

Required Attributes:·

  • Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Able to coordinate getting parts, materials, and equipment to multiple job sites.
  • Organized.
  • Ability to stay on task.
  • Able to hitch and pull a trailer behind vehicle.
  • Punctual.
  • Clear in appearance and good hygiene.
  • Sense of humor

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: Good driving skills with and without a trailer, some knowledge of plumbing or plumbing fittings/some mechanical skills. (Preferred)
