Role: Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Consultant
Level: Mid to Senior
Location: South Africa (Remote)

Join a team delivering enterprise-grade hybrid infrastructure solutions across complex environments. This is not support work. This is end-to-end delivery — from design to implementation to optimisation.

What you will own

• Design, implement, and support hybrid infrastructure environments across on-premises and Azure
• Plan and deploy Azure Landing Zones aligned to governance best practices
• Configure and manage Azure Stack HCI environments
• Lead infrastructure assessments and provide architectural recommendations
• Design hybrid networking including VPN, ExpressRoute, routing, and DNS
• Implement and support firewall and switching solutions (Fortinet, SonicWall, Dell, Azure Networking)
• Support infrastructure migrations from on-prem to Azure with minimal disruption
• Collaborate with presales, project teams, and clients to deliver within scope and timelines
• Document architecture, configurations, and implementation guides
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing

What you bring to the table

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or consulting
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS, networking, and governance
• Proven experience with Azure Stack HCI or Hyper-V in production environments
• Solid understanding of hybrid connectivity models including site-to-site VPN, ExpressRoute, routing, and DNS
• Experience configuring and managing firewalls and switches (Fortinet, SonicWall, Dell, Azure Firewall, NSGs, UDRs, MikroTik)
• Familiarity with Azure Landing Zone architectures and governance frameworks
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills across networking and virtualization
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Certifications (required)

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• Azure Network Engineer Associate or equivalent

Bonus points if you have

• Vendor certifications (Fortinet NSE, SonicWall, Dell Networking)
• Experience with Hyper-V or VMware integrated with Azure
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools (ARM, Bicep, Terraform)
