Quantity Surveyor -Residential / Mixed-Use Developments

Contract: Permanent/Full-time

A growing construction and development business is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team in London. This opportunity will involve supporting the delivery of residential and mixed-use schemes, with responsibility for managing costs, subcontractor packages, and commercial performance from early procurement through to final account.

You will work closely with operational and delivery teams, helping to ensure projects are commercially well managed and delivered in line with budget expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction through to completion
• Assisting with budgeting, cost planning, and tender analysis
• Procuring subcontractors and administering subcontract packages
• Preparing valuations, variation assessments, and final accounts
• Monitoring project spend, forecasting costs, and reporting on commercial performance
• Supporting site and project teams with day-to-day commercial matters
• Maintaining strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontract partners

Requirements

• 4+ years in a Quantity Surveyor role within construction or residential development
• Good understanding of cost control, subcontract management, and contract administration
• Experience working on residential, mixed-use, or general build projects would be beneficial
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across live projects
• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
