A London based facilities services provider is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support maintenance operations across a portfolio of buildings in London. This role will involve a combination of routine maintenance, reactive works, electrical fault diagnosis, and supporting the wider upkeep of building services systems.

It would suit an engineer with previous experience in commercial maintenance or facilities management who is comfortable working in live environments and providing a high standard of service across occupied sites.

Main responsibilities

• Delivering planned and reactive electrical maintenance across commercial properties
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on electrical systems and associated equipment
• Maintaining lighting, small power, emergency lighting, distribution boards, and related infrastructure
• Assisting with compliance checks, testing, and general building services support
• Responding to breakdowns and helping to minimise downtime across sites
• Liaising with site contacts and internal teams regarding maintenance activities
• Completing service records, reports, and maintenance documentation accurately
• Working in line with health and safety procedures and industry standards

Requirements

• Experience in electrical maintenance, building services, or facilities management
• Strong practical fault-finding and repair capability
• Good understanding of commercial building environments
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Relevant electrical qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds, 18th Edition, or similar
• Testing and inspection experience would be beneficial but is not essential
