Sales Manager – UK
Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) / C&I Sales
Location: Remote work with regular nationwide travel/ onfield work.
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £60,000 basic + OTE
An established business operating within the battery energy storage sector is looking to appoint a Sales Manager to drive the development of its commercial and industrial customer base across the UK.
This is a national B2B sales role focused on identifying, developing, and growing relationships with C&I customers, helping to generate new business opportunities and expand market presence across the UK. The role will suit someone with a strong track record in solution-led technical sales, who is comfortable managing the full sales cycle and engaging with customers across multiple sites and regions.
The successful individual will be responsible for building a portfolio of commercial and industrial customers, developing new opportunities, and supporting the growth of BESS sales into the UK market. As this is a field-based role, regular travel to customer sites, meetings, and industry events will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and managing a portfolio of C&I customers across the UK
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities for BESS solutions
- Managing the full B2B sales process from lead generation through to commercial close
- Building strong relationships with customers, partners, and key decision-makers
- Attending customer meetings, site visits, exhibitions, and industry events nationwide
- Working closely with internal technical and commercial teams to support solution development and proposal delivery
- Maintaining an active pipeline and delivering against agreed sales targets
- Monitoring market activity and competitor trends within the energy storage and wider energy sector
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a B2B sales role
- Proven ability to develop new business and manage customer relationships
- Experience selling into commercial and industrial customers would be highly beneficial
- Background in BESS, renewable energy, energy solutions, electrical products, or other technical/solution-led sectors would be advantageous
- Strong commercial awareness and confidence managing a consultative sales process
- Willingness to travel extensively across the UK for customer meetings and events
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Full UK driving licence
