    Compensation: $16-18 per hour
    Location: On-Site, Cleveland, TX

  • Job Summary

The Material Saw Operator is responsible for measuring, cutting, and verifying metal materials according to customer specifications. This role also includes packaging finished products, driving a forklift, and operating an overhead crane while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

  • Requirements & Qualifications to Get Job
    • o Proficiency in basic math, including (+), (-), (x), and (÷), & fraction-to-decimal conversions.
    • o Ability to use simple hand tools.
    • o Strong attention to detail and ability to visually inspect equipment and products.
    • o Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment across all departments.
    • o Commitment to customer service and high-quality work standards.
    • o Ability to safely operate heavy machinery and remain aware of surroundings at all times.
    • o Must be able to perform all job functions with or without reasonable workplace accommodations.
    • o Physical capability to apply sideways, upward, and downward pressure to tighten and loosen hardware.
    • o 18 years or older and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
    • o Able to communicate in English
    • o High school diploma / GED
    • o Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to: eye & hearing protection, gloves, steel-toed boots, hard hat, and flame retardant work clothes, etc.
    • o Able to lift up to 50 lbs. & work in varying environmental conditions (heat, dust, noise, vibration, humidity).
  • Preferences to Get Job
    • o One (1) year of experience in a machine shop environment preferred
    • o Experience using a horizontal band saw (cutting diameters of 10-12 inches) preferred.
    • o Completion of technical school or vocational training is a plus.
  • What you do on Job
    • o Use a tape measure to quickly determine material length, width, and depth for accurate cuts in both English and Metric measurements.
    • o Perform basic math calculations to determine metal cutting requirements.
    • o Convert fractions to decimals efficiently (e.g., 1/4 = 0.25).
    • o Use a scale to determine material weight accurately.
    • o Complete tasks in accordance with the Production Plan and Heat Treat Manager’s direction.

Use hand tools and equipment to correct salvageable orders (e.g., using grinders to correct miscuts).

  • o Maintain an organized and clean workspace while complying with company protocols.
  • o Meet individual productivity targets for quality and on-time delivery tracking.
  • o Promote workplace safety and maintain a clean and hazard-free shop floor.
  • o Operate saws, forklifts, overhead cranes, and packing equipment as required.
  • o Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • o Assist other processes as directed by the supervisor.
