- Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage and optimize our day-to-day logistics and supply chain operations. This role is critical to ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of operational expertise, problem-solving ability, and effective communication skills in a fast-paced, global logistics environment.
- Requirements & Qualifications to Get Job
- o 2-3 years in logistics or supply chain coordination required.
- o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong analytical/data management skills.
- o Working knowledge of international shipping regulations and import/export compliance.
- o 18 years or older and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- o Able to communicate in English
- o High school diploma / GED
- o Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to: eye & hearing protection, gloves, steel-toed boots, hard hat, and flame retardant work clothes, etc.
- o Able to lift up to 25 lbs. & work in varying environmental conditions (heat, dust, noise, vibration, humidity).
- Preferences to Get Job
- o Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal); Spanish is a plus.
- o Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP/SRP systems preferred.
- o Familiarity with drayage and coordination with Steamship Lines (SSL) is a plus.
- What you do on Job
- Shipment Coordination:
Schedule, track, and oversee shipments to ensure timely delivery and seamless execution. Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to resolve any issues that arise during transit. - Vendor & Carrier Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with transportation providers. Negotiate contracts and freight rates to ensure service quality and cost-efficiency. - Inventory Control:
Implement and manage FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory processes. Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper rotation, dispatch, and loading of goods. - Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure full compliance with international trade and shipping regulations. Prepare and review delivery orders and shipping documentation for accuracy and regulatory adherence. - Issue Resolution:
Proactively identify and resolve shipping delays, discrepancies, and logistical challenges. Escalate complex issues as needed and follow through with effective solutions. - Process Improvement:
Continuously identify opportunities to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance the efficiency of the supply chain. - o Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- o Assist other processes as directed by the supervisor.
