  • Job Title: Mechanical Assembly/Disassembly Technician
    Reports To: Facility Supervisor
    Classification: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
    Compensation: $14-16 per hour
    Location: On-Site, Houston, TX

  • Job Summary

The Compressor Technician is responsible for disassembling old compressors, sorting their sub-components for reuse or recycling, and supporting the reassembly and testing of remanufactured compressors. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

  • Requirements & Qualifications to Get Job
    • 1-2 years previous experience in mechanical assembly, industrial maintenance, or similar fields.
    • Proficiency with hand and power tools (e.g., wrenches, ratchets, air guns).
    • Ability to use tools to disassemble and reassemble compressors and sub-components.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
    • Valid Driver's License/Identification
    • 18 years or older and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
    • Able to communicate in English
    • High school diploma / GED
    • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to: eye & hearing protection, gloves, steel-toed boots, hard hat, and flame retardant work clothes, etc.
    • Able to lift up to 75 lbs. & work in varying environmental conditions (heat, dust, noise, vibration, humidity).
  • Preferences to Get Job
    • 1–2 years of experience operating a sit-down propane forklift.
  • What you do on Job
    • Disassemble old compressors and sort components for remanufacturing or recycling.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are ready for operations.
    • Assemble compressor sub-components according to build specifications.
    • Conduct quality checks to ensure parts and assemblies meet company standards.
    • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
    • Assist other processes as directed by the supervisor.
