Lead Solution Domain Architect Retail | MACH & Digital Platforms

We're working with a major Australian retail brand undergoing significant digital transformationand theyre looking for a Lead Solution Domain Architect who can deliver sophisticated, future-ready architecture across complex retail ecosystems.

The Role:

As the Lead Solution Domain Architect, youll be the go-to expert for capability domain-driven design and MACH architecture principles, leading the design of scalable, decoupled, and secure digital platforms. Youll work across multiple retail brands, partnering with technology and business teams to define robust solutions across critical domains like OMS, pricing, catalogue, and payments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect enterprise-grade retail solutions using MACH principles: Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless, and Event-driven
• Design for capability-driven domains across Order Management, Pricing, Promotions, Billing, Payments, Inventory, and Customer.
• Lead architecture across digital platforms including SAP, Commerce Tools, Shopify, and embed strong security architecture and controls.

• Document detailed solution architecture and API functional specifications.

• Proactively collaborate across technology, product, and business teams to influence direction and drive outcomes.

• Ensure scalability and reuse across a multi-brand retail environment.

• Apply strong Azure cloud platform knowledge to guide solution patterns and integration.

What You'll Bring:

• ️ Proven expertise in capability domain-driven design
• ️ Solid experience designing digital architectures using MACH principles
• ️ Background in large-scale retail companies
• ️ Strong documentation and communication skills (including API specs)
• ️ Familiarity with cloud-native architecture, particularly Microsoft Azure
• ️ Hands-on experience across major commerce platforms
