Test Lead

 Job Description:

We're working with a global systems integrator delivering critical transformation projects within the water industry. They're currently seeking an experienced Test Lead to support the delivery of a complex billing systems program involving Infor (IPS) and TechnologyOne platforms.

This is a contract role, ideal for a senior testing professional looking for flexible, remote work while contributing to meaningful infrastructure and billing solutions for utility providers.

About the Role

As Test Lead, you'll be responsible for end-to-end test planning and execution, co-ordinating with internal teams, vendors, and regional water utility stakeholders. You'll leverage your knowledge of enterprise applications and billing systems to ensure quality outcomes across integration and upgrade initiatives.

The role is remote-first, with occasional travel to regional client offices as required for workshops or testing phases.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead the test strategy, planning, and coordination across multiple systems

· Manage test cases, execution, and traceability using tools such as Jira (RTM)

· Oversee testing phases including system, integration, regression, and UAT

· Collaborate with internal delivery teams, utility clients, and third-party vendors

· Drive defect management and resolution processes

· Ensure billing system test coverage aligns with real-world operational scenarios

Required Experience

· Senior-level experience in software testing or QA leadership roles

· Hands-on knowledge of Infor (IPS) and TechnologyOne systems

· Proficiency with Jira or similar tools for test and requirements management

· Strong understanding of billing systems and workflows

· Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, particularly in remote settings

Highly Desirable

· Background in the water industry or utility sector

· Exposure to projects involving enterprise billing or CRM integrations

· ISTQB certification or similar QA credentials

· Experience working with or within global consultancies or systems integrators

Contract Details

· Duration: Initial 6-month contract, with potential for extension

· Work Mode: Remote with flexibility on hours

· Travel: Occasional travel to regional utility client offices (expenses covered)

· Rate: Competitive daily rate, based on experience
