Data Engineer

Our client is a global technology and engineering company operating across aerospace, defense, urban solutions and satellite communications, with offices in 50+ cities.

Role
You'll join the team to optimize data infrastructure for the RTA Nova Platform, working with software engineers to build scalable pipelines that enable real‑time processing and data‑driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines for large‑scale data processing, in partnership with software engineers
• Work with data scientists to ensure accurate, timely data for analytics
• Optimize data storage and processing systems for performance and scalability
• Ensure data quality, consistency and reliability across systems
• Maintain and improve the data infrastructure as the platform grows

Requirements

• 3–5 years' experience as a Data Engineer or similar
• Strong experience building ETL/ELT pipelines with tools like Spark, Airflow, Kafka or equivalents
• Solid SQL skills and experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience handling large datasets and real‑time/streaming data
• Understanding of AI/ML data needs (data prep, feature engineering, model training support)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and cloud‑native data services
• Familiarity with data quality checks, monitoring and validation frameworks
• Strong collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting AI/ML pipelines (training, inference, model monitoring)
• Knowledge of data labeling tools or workflows
• Exposure to MLOps practices and tools
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration patterns
• Excellent verbal and written English
