About the job Business Development Manager
Our client is a prominent and fast-expanding B2C technology platform in Southeast Asia, now growing its presence in the Vietnamese market. They are seeking a proactive and strategic Business Development Manager to join their Vietnam team and play a pivotal role in accelerating user engagement and platform growth locally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute acquisition strategies for both demand and supply to expand user bases across targeted industries on the platform
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building lasting relationships with SMEs, startups, professional communities, and individual users.
- Research and analyze market trends, user needs, and competitor activities to uncover growth opportunities.
- Develop strategic collaborations with universities, associations, business networks, and community groups to build steady pipelines of qualified talent.
- Monitor key performance metrics such as sign-ups, activations, conversions, and retention rates, using data to optimize acquisition strategies.
- Design and execute community-building initiatives that increase engagement and loyalty among platform users.
- Represent the platform in meetings, events, and discussions with corporate, public, and government partners to strengthen market presence.
- Collaborate closely with regional and internal teams to ensure alignment of strategies and localized execution.
Main Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, operations, or user acquisition, preferably within tech or digital platforms.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Able to handle end-to-end sales cycle, finding leads independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Vietnamese and English.
- Proven track record in planning and running activation campaigns and community engagement programs.
- Startup experience or a background in dynamic, fast-paced environments is a plus.
- Passion for the creator economy, events, lifestyle industries, and digital platforms.
- Creative thinker with a can-do attitude and high ownership mindset.
