About the job Senior Network Engineer
The Senior Network Engineer will report directly to the Network Manager and is accountable for the day-to-day management of the Clients network operations, ensuring these operations align with the organization's growth and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Network Administration

Oversee network administration in a diverse environment (production, DR, test), involving network and security equipment, telecommunication links.

Perform hardening, upgrades, and enhancements to IT infrastructure components.

Monitor, assess, schedule, and implement network and product-specific security vulnerability patches.

Track obsolescence of IT infrastructure components (network systems).

Monitor expiration and renew network system passwords and certificates.

Implement network backup operations to ensure data recoverability and business continuity.

Execute disaster recovery plans for IT infrastructure (network systems), regularly conducting disaster recovery (DR) testing and component switchover exercises to verify the usability of standby and DR equipment.
Project Management and Support

Provide system and network support for projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines.

Manage infrastructure enhancement and projects in line with established project management guidelines.
Incident and Problem Management

Provide second-level network support and resolve incidents and issues per the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA).

Diagnose problems, propose solutions, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
Change and Release Management

Schedule and release network system changes into the production environment following change management procedures.

Present and explain change requests during CAB or CAMC meetings.
Configuration Management

Develop and maintain a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library for all IT infrastructure components used in the production environment.
Capacity and Performance Management

Monitor and plan infrastructure system and network capacity.

Perform performance tuning to optimize network performance.
Process Management

Implement underlying processes supporting IT service management, in line with corporate security policies and guidelines.
Documentation

Develop and maintain technical and process documentation to support IT infrastructure upkeep.
Requirements
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience managing network and security equipment (e.g., Routers, Switches, Firewalls, VPN, Load Balancer, DNS, NAC) in financial institutions or mission-critical environments.

Familiarity with data center operations is a plus.
Professional Certifications

Any relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise, Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA), Certified Cloud Security Engineer (CCSE), Palo Alto Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA), Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), and Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) up to level 4.
